A guy that works at the airport told me decades ago that if I fly get cheap luggage. I had a designer duffel that I took on board. He said verbatim, " We just sling it around because we have so much luggage". It's going to get messed up so don't use your good stuff. Thanks to 911, I don't fly. I drive myself.
