My Response to NZXT and Gamers Nexus

1. I’ve removed all of the NZXT paid sponsorship videos from my channels where I have access to. I think 1 video on TikTok won’t physically let me delete it because it’s attached to an ad campaign with NZXT, I’m working on taking that down.

2. I’ve posted 2 videos bashing NZXT products in the past 9 months. I’d recommend watching if you’re debating about whether or not I’m an NZXT shill.

3. Advertisements are business contracts that mutually benefit both parties. It is NOT a philosophical partnership or blind form of trust between them. I cannot guarantee that any other company that we’ve worked with in the past won’t be uncovered as being shady in the future like NZXT. What I can guarantee though, is that if it happens again, I will be transparent and keep in touch with my audience about the situation.

4. The fix action on my side of things wasn’t in the video because I’m not sure what it is yet. I wish I would have vetted the subscription service further, that’s where the main mistake was made. In the future, I’d love to say that we’ll go full investigative mode on brands that we work with, but there’s also a chance that we just cancel ads completely. We’ve been internally debating for weeks now about simply not running ads with any brand, product, or service outside of ZTT owned assets. I’ll keep you all updated on the final decision.

5. This video and caption isn’t a PR response. I’m a normal Gamer Dad owning up to a mistake and keeping you all updated.

6. If you’ve made it this far, thanks for your time. I’m sorry if my videos or statements about NZXT influenced you to buy (or rent) something that you are no longer happy with. I will be getting back to regularly scheduled PC hardware news and PC building guidance videos starting tomorrow.

It's an easy pitfall to simply trust a "reputable" company and just do an ad read without looking into it. I'm glad you admitted to it, and will be looking to avoid those in the future, that's all we could ask for.

I was stalking their website for weeks leading up to back Friday. They said their player 3 prime is $100s of dollars off but didn’t highlight they swapped out the 4090 for a 4080 super. Hoping no one pulled the trigger without double checking the specs.

I love your response! I just started watching Steve a few weeks ago and everything he does is so impressive. There shouldn't be an expectation of perfection when you sponsor a company, but choosing to pivot when you find out new information about their shitty business practices is so important!!!

I am really interested in how much research you actually did before accepting the paid deal with NZXT. Because for me, it already stops when calculating the insane rental prices and seeing how much it costs in sum after 2+ years. This alone shows how bad this service is, and it does not even include any of the scam details GN showed.

Mind boggling to see ppl on the comment section say stuff like "not a trustworthy source anymore" and "such a bs apology" the man made a mistake acknowledged said mistake, privated his videos to avoid missleading his audience any further. This kinda of attitude deserves nothing else but respect it shows he cares about the integrity of both his content and his business more than can be said about some other content creators on the plataform.

I'm not looking to crucify Zach or any other creator that was sponsored by NZXT, but I do find weird that these creators advertised this rent a PC thing without knowing it was scummy, when I realized that the first time I saw the ad and took me 2 minutes to find out that you pay for a full PC without owning it in a year or so. and the creators had enough time to realize that before publishing the videos with those ads

I have a question. I’m running a Ryzen 9 3950x & 4070 super with 32gb DDR4 ram. Is it worth me upgrading to AM5? All cores at 4.3ghz & 4070 regularly at 3025mhz. For GoW Ragnarok I hit 144fps with my 1% at 125+. It almost feels pointless to upgrade
