Thessaloniki Pride earned the honor of hosting EuroPride at the European Pride Organisers Association's Annual General Meeting in 2017. Originally planned for 2020, the event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The decision was made in 2020 to allow Thessaloniki Pride to host EuroPride in 2024, marking a significant milestone for Greece as it hosts its first EuroPride, coinciding with the recent legalization of equal marriage in the country. This event was a pivotal moment for the Pride movement in the region, fostering a sense of freedom and hope for the local LGBTQ community.

Naturally the most important highlights was the parade. The parade started in the afternoon from the YMCA park, proceeded along Tsimiski Street, through Venizelou Street, and conclude dat the waterfront by the Statue of Alexander the Great. Unlike many other Pride events where spectators line the streets, in Thessaloniki, everyone is encouraged to join the parade, creating a unified celebration of diversity.
