I know I’m super late but I had the same problem as yours on my ttr 125 and I downsized the main jet and opened up the air box and now she runs a lot better and none of that sputtering or “rev limiter”

Nice video showing how to wear out your engine prematurely. It is very hard on an engine to rev it up high like that with no load on the engine. We hear people doing this a lot these days, especially with street bikes. If I were shopping for a used bike, and heard the owner do this, I would cross that bike off my list and move on.

Valves are out of adjustment, or the might be damaged. Also it is probably your jetting, try downjetting on the main.

That’s not a rev limiter. That’s the valves. The rev limiter kicks in at 12, 500rpm, and I know that is not 12, 500rpm because I also own a TTR 125. (With am FMF PowerCore 4 as well)

That’s not the rev limiter that’s the bike just backfiring. Those bikes don’t have rev limiters. Just because you rev the shit out of it doesn’t mean that it has a rev limiter. Rev limiters are for race bikes and bigger bikes.

Ttrs don’t have a rev limiter you just have bad jetting
