We've now had the 2021 Kubota L4060 for over a year and just shy of 90hrs on the tractor. Spoiler, we like it a lot! Check out the video where I walk you through the decision process that made us choose Kubota and this model specifically.

Thanks for watching!

Hi great video you covered pretty much of everything, I bought a grand l 4060 in 2018 and have almost 900 hrs on it. I also purchased a BH 92 back-hoe attachment with a hydraulic thumb that can pick-up large trees and move to the pile, I have loaded tires on the rear but is still light with the back-hoe removed doing snow removal so I keep it on for weight. I also installed a reversable cutting blade on the loader bucket, to save the factory bucket edge from wear. and a grill guard to protect the engine hood from damage. starts in very cold weather no problem, only issue I had was a leaking front seal on the left axel that was covered under warranty .I also made a guard to protect my 3rd function hoses . and a guard to protect the steel lines on the front of the loader going to the left side. my dealer was excellent to deal with. and I would highly recommend this tractor to anyone looking for a quality piece of equipment . I only use kubota oils and filters and follow the maintenance schedule to a tee .I have not ever regretted buying this machine . and will be buying a box blade in the future . and rear chains . my R 4 tires don't like ice or packed snow. Thanks for sharing!!!

You really should get some dust caps for your 3rd function couplers. You introduce dirt in to your hydro system when they are allowed to get filthy. I have the same tractor without a cab.

I have a 6 foot grapple for my mx6000. No problems lifting logs. I love my tractor.

Flip seat forward bypass the safety switch for PTO.. only if that tractors not the limited edition.. if it's a limited edition you can get the switch to plug in

The B3350 requires setting the parking brake in order to be able to operate the PTO without being in the seat. Also, some models have a seat sensor switch that can be flipped to allow PTO operation with no driver in the seat. It might be an option. Messick's discusses this in some of their videos.

My uncle wanted to trade one his basically new kubotas L3560 on a bigger one. Dealer told him he would lose a huge amount of money due to kubotas used internet rates were 9-10% and they would never be able to sell it over a brand new one. While we haven’t had any break downs with the new kubotas the John Deere’s we have are a lot better lay out from being in the seat stand point. As far as John Deere’s right to repair while some people are capable of doing repairs after working maintenance for 20 years a lot of people who think they can fix something have absolutely no business working on equipment. So I can see both sides

Good video. We have had one for about 8 years, have around 800 hours on it. Great little tractor. The little green light button to the right of the steering wheel are for you side working lights right next to your headlights. They are basically useless with the loader on it though.

Yipes! All those connections on the outside of the FEL loader and close to front tire. What a lousey place.
Good luck with your front spindle bearings if you keep coming close to lift capacity of the Loader.
Make a weight barrel for the 3pt hitch it'll save that weak front axle and help with snow traction.

I have this same tractor. I bought it in Feb 2022. On your seat you can flip it up and the pto will run for a chipper etc with no operator. If you dont have the switch for that you can buy 1. You should not need the weight. I love mine as well.

Thanks for the review. We have a small 'gentleman's' farm in the mountains of Utah. I had a Kubota 2560 and just upgraded to the L4060. We went with the front snow blower as we got tired of backing up to blow all the snow. One thing I really liked about this tractor vs. the 3560 or even some of the other competitors is that it is a 4 cylinder tractor. My dealer has them in stock as well, but it is going to take about 3 weeks to get it built because of labor shortages. Appreciate the walk around.

Thanks for this video! I'm waiting for mine to be put together and it's going to replace the Rural King 37HC that I'm getting rid of. Finding a local dealer who is close by with the parts needed to fix issues is the primary reason I'm going away from RK and changing to Kubota. There have been some odd issues with my old tractor and it's just not worth the aggravation.

Very helpful video as I decide between JD & Kubota. Thank you for your straightforward explanation of why you like this model tractor & what you use it for. Please get some rear ballast weight, especially since it sounds like you use your loader a fair amount. Lots of ways to add rear ballast. Multiple YouTube videos explain the different ballast options. Great job helping me with this important (& $$) decision! Thank you!

i just purchased a L3560 limited edition with a cab. supposed to be coming on apr 3. waiting on a 3rd function to be installed. its my first tractor. looking forward to seeing what it can do. i was on the fence about spending the extra money on a kubota but i think about 5 years from now, it will be worth it im twrms of quality of service as you mentioned, plus if upgrading or selling, the prices seem to really hold their value. i did pay extra for the LA805 loader. im going to be paying for it by doing storm cleanup work around my neighborhood so the extra lifting capacity was pretty important to me. also the cash price and the 0% finance price is different. so its not really 0. i was able to pay cash and you get a 1200 dollar rebate from kubota. so your paying 1200 minimum to finance the tractor through kubota. great video. thank you. 🙏

Boy did I screw up by buying a 2501 instead of the LA4060 with cab. Totally wish I had this one for sure. Don’t get me wrong it’s been a great machine but would love to have that one hands down

So the Green "FS" light button is actually for the Front Side light bulbs. If you go out in front of the tractor they are the top bulbs. I have the same tractor, non cab model, just replaced all the front lights with LED off Amazon. Not cheap but well worth it !

Great info boss, we’re looking into getting one this March. We have a property here in Maine we’re doing our new homestead on, just over a 100 acres.. I subscribed since we’re both doing a lot of the same stuff and looking forward to watching some more of your videos. Appreciate you, all the best to you and your family for the new year..!

Cheap alternative to the stump grinder, check out a stump bucket. Great for smaller stumps like your Christmas Trees.
