I have a very negative attitude towards AI-generated music. I've already heard several releases, and it's clear that they're made by AI. Soon, anyone who feels like it will be churning out tracks and sending millions of them to labels. Ordinary musicians won't stand a chance of being heard. I really hope distributors will identify and label such music because it's unfair.

this is how i feel as well but what is the differences between AI grabbing samples and piecing together songs based on pattern recognition/training based on existing work vs a human doing it?

Ai is creative, anyone who uses it a lot knows this. Also just in year1 in its worst version ever, Ai music is superior to normal music in some ways. Where will it be in 5 years or more when its higher quality, more detailed, complex, surprising, varied than any artist can keep up with. Listen to how fast the transients are already or the finesse of some of the arrangements. Its also gonna be great for instrumental artists, because it will generate backing automatically as it follows their improvisation. And you can jam live "ok ai, lets have some this, and that". Its gonna be crazy mixing real artists with live ai remixers.

It's almost like anyone with an idea should be shunned from a community. Here is a chance for anyone with a thought in their head to be able to create something, I wish I had this something like this when I was younger. Don't think of it as a tool to steal music, think of it as a stepping stone for everyone to finally get involved in being artist. I remember being younger wishing something in my head having a chance to become something concrete. I love this for all upcoming artists, don't use this as a way to music, use it as a tool to write your own. The future is here, the only ones complaining are the ones who dominate the market. Sorry I don't believe in monopolies, I believe in a world where we can all create something and be recognized for new ideas without having to gouge our wallets to obtain it. To all those who hate this, go back to wherever you came from, art should be accessible to anybody with an idea.
