Love Jim and Loggins & Messina. I read Kenny’s autobiography this summer and it was great. Of course he tells his full story of L&M, the great years and when it was time to move on. They really weren’t best of friends (title of a greatest hits album i think) they were good partners and made some great 70s music. Then kenny wanted to go in an R&B direction, so he did. I recommend his book to L&M fans. If Jim ever writes a book I’ll get it

Mother Lode is still one of my favorite albums and go to favorites after all these years. Always more of a Messina guy than Loggins anyway. Be free, Pathway to Glory and Same Old Wine still hold up after all these years. Be safe everyone and happy holidays!

Jim Messina popular in his band Poco, he's being liked for him and his band.

It was rude of the interviewer to argue with Jim about his own life.
He'd said time and again that he was paired up with Kenny to just produce Loggins' first solo album after he migrated away from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, but Jim was so interlaced in the music that the label insisted they include the Messina name to lend more credibility to the work, and he got mired into the duo until he could find release.
Regardless, they created a nice body of work.

I saw Loggins and Messina at the MRF in the 70's. Supposedly their last concert together. It was great and so was a forgotten girl from St. Louis.
