Also, keeping a bed in your inventory can be useful for many reasons, like if you need to sleep when you’re far from your base or a village.

For exploring, i recommend, doors, buckets, some iron, wood, cobble, normal tools, and flint and steel. You don't need to have a boat since you have wood and can craft it along the way

This was a habit I started in minecraft beta, which is, always carry a clock with you in your hotbar, so when mining, you’ll know the exact time.

Bonus tip: bring a lava bucket. If you already have a water bucket you can make a cobble farm literally anywhere. Good emergency fuel/lighting. Fantasting weapon. Hurts like hell. Lights things up, and slows mobs down.

I would just recommend keeping your flint and steel—in case you need to get rid of unwanted items (like loads of deepslate from mining) you can use the flint and steel to burn them

I would recommend just carrying a stack of logs and iron all the time, certainly always useful!
