I got my RN 40 years ago (I'm still working full time because I LOVE it.). My RN including classes, labs, books cost me $700. total. It's crazy that a nursing student today is paying $70, 000.

If the Amazon thief lives in California, he isn't going to prison. He will be sent to a 4-hour slap-on-the-wrist "rehabilitation" seminar where attendance is optional 🤦‍♂️

As a disabled man, skull crushed and massive internal damage, it took me 4 years to get my disability, and my "wages expired" while I was waiting its heartbreaking to hear of the scammers.

When employers pay peanuts, you get moral and social decay.

Regarding disability claims. Sickening. My daughter is unable to work. She once made good money as an RN. She would love to work, but deteriorated due to Lyme disease, MS, severe heart issues, chronic severe pain and dozens of other diagnosis'. She was denied twice for disability. Since her income is severely cut back, she can no longer afford doctor visits. She suffers so badly, it makes me cry. Denied twice. 😢 So those that need it to survive and are disabled, cannot get it. Many that get it are lying about their illnesses. Ugh. So frustrating.

Am I the only one who thinks that this Disability issue would not have gotten to the size it is without People in Power being in on it? This disability scandal has been going on for a long time. Some persons with Power, have gotten rich looking the other way.

Just proves what we have all been saying all along, the homeless problem CAN be solved if Congress really wanted to.

My brother in law is in a wheelchair. He just retired from teaching. He had a motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed from chest down at 18. He went to SDSU, worked at Qualcomm for many years, never missed work! Then got his teaching license and loved teaching Math. Now he is helping others file their taxes. He never stops. He never got disability. He's got a nice home, motorhome, just sold his boat. I'm amazed at people who won't work and save when they can.

As a teacher my eyes were really opened to this "disability" problem. A low-income area where many of the parents were on "disability", but worked under the table for cash. They got all the perks like free lunches, food stamps etc. and were taking cruises while I worked my tail off teaching their kids for barely a living wage. I am SO sick of the system!!!

If you are a parent of a kid about to graduate high school, I would recommend against going into debt so the kid can go to college. Pell Grants are nice and my niece got them at the same time she was incurring thousands of dollars in student loans, sapping her future income for years to come.

Most kids would be better off going into the trades and learning how to become plumbers, electricians and auto mechanics, which are also occupations where they can open their own business one day and make a wonderful income.

If the government does the proper checks and balances the disability claims would never have been paid.

The supply chain collapse is not surprising Dan. I argued vehemently against NAFTA in the 90's. I always knew this would not end well. No one listened. Sorry folks, it is going to get worse.

I once had an automotive shop. 25% of our State's citizens were on Social Security Disability Insurance (I am fairly certain that that was the nation average prior to COVID-19). That meant that 25% of the customers who walked into my shop could not afford, and therefore would "fail to authorize" repair work. It was a frustrating, depressing and an economic disaster. That is a side of welfare that the average person never considers. Everyone lost.

My dad was hit my a train when he was 14, he lost a leg above the knee back in the day when he had a wooden leg. He worked in a steel mill the swing shift and farmed during the day until the day he died. Disability is given out to people who are not really disabled all the time. San thing is not only does it rip off taxpayers it takes resources that could go to help people who actually are disabled.

So instead of lowering rent price, landlords would rather have it sit empty? Greed causes you to literally become disillusioned.... narcissism at it's best 😡

In California, I would not be surprised if someone puts in their, disability application. “I identify as a law abiding, criminal and getting a job would go against my classification; so, I deserve disability.”

I would rather pay for Americans to draw disability because they worked here in the past than we spend million of tax dollars to keep up illegals that come here and have never paid a dime of taxes.
