I worked for Sony and one day a guy comes in demanding a refund for a portable boom box, insisting he'd bought it there. When I told him he couldn't have, he flipped out insisting he did...until I pointed out the portable was made by Sanyo and we didn't sell that product. He likely bought it at Sears.😂

worked at the register at a hole-in-the -wall Chinese family-owned fast food store. ( best Chinese food I ever had) customer came in to order lobster with lobster sauce. complained that last time too little lobster. owner talked with him. he was demanding double meat at same price. DENIED. Afet he stomped out, boss said 'This kind customer we don't need'

I worked at an auto parts store when I was a teenager and we had this now and again. People would bring in stuff for return or warranty from *Other Store* and I'd have to tell them we dont carry that brand, they have to go to *Other Store* and get their refund/warranty. They'd proceed to yell about how they **KNOW** they bought it here and I'm just a dumb teenager. Eventually they'd either leave or the manager would have to tell them for them to believe.

I know two things after 36 years of running a company. First, the business of business is business. Meaning if you don't like to do paperwork don't be in business. The second, all roads lead to one specific goal: acquire the customers you want so you can get rid of the customers you don't want. It sounds to me that if you haven't already reached that goal you're very much on your way to reach in it.

This just happened to my boss. He received a letter from the attorney General of Michigan bc a customer complained that he was withholding his medication (my boss is a pharmacist), a racist and a whole slew of other things. The customer had never even been to our location. In his complaint he even said where he went which wasn't our store. He just got my boss's name from the company's website and decided to try to get him in trouble. His complaints were all bc he doesn't agree with how pharmacys must follow safe medication dispensing. Now a bunch of forms have to be filled out bc the AG has to look into all claims. If I could I would post the letter this guy sent in. It's just so unbelievably bizarre.

I've done custom products in the past, I knew each one of my clients and kept really good records and yes, I've had customers like that, usually they threaten to leave bad ratings if I don't replace their order, I just ask for their email or paypal order id, usually ends there though and I don't spend much time worrying
