Over 20 years since the introduction of the original #LexusIS300, this car was a turning point for #Lexus and proved to enthusiasts that the company could build a proper sports sedan for younger buyers. The #IS300 was known back in the day as the original Japanese BMW and even today, the legendary #LexusIS is sought after for its #2JZ 3.0L Inline 6-cylinder engine and today, thanks to our good friend @TysonHugie we managed to snag a very rare 5-speed manual transmission model. If you can find one of these in great condition, pick one up while you still can!

Happy Saturday guys! Last month, we had a rare opportunity to film and drive a super mint 5-speed manual IS300, big thanks again to our good friend @tysonhugie for loaning us his car and for coming along for the ride. The manual transmission in this car was such a treat and its great to see how familiar the new IS continues to feel compared to this original 1st generation!

I always wanted this, a G35 or an Acura CL. Couldn't afford it back then, but those were definitely my favorite cars at that time

This is what made Fall in love with Lexus. I’ve always wanted one! I currently have 99 ES300 daily and 2013 GS350! Nothing like Lexus build quality, reliability and longevity!!

These were called Toyota Altezza back in my country back in the day. That gauge cluster is like a classic chronograph.... Classic from all angles, this car.

I have a '02 IS300 Sportcross with 80k miles and love it. You hit the nail on the head about the driving dynamics. I would like a manual IS300 but i plan to get a GRC at some point.

Great to see the IS getting some love

I had a Lexus SC 300 coupe from this era. I plan to keep my 2017 GS F V8 5 liter for 20 years. It should hold up as good as this Lex.
