I love the contrast and paradoxical harmony between the general 'feel good' vibe and the guitar in the chorus which carries a sense of worry and clenching, almost like discreet twitches or gnashings. I wonder if "time of captivity" refers to the lockdowns.

This song has been in the making for 6-7 years ever since the title was leaked in the Noonday era. Feels almost cathartic.

When Ben changed from Old Pine and Every Kingdom to Burgh Island and IFWWW and frowned at first but it only took a little longer to hook me, and now his new turn just confirms how amazing he is as an artist. His songs covers all emotions and feeling and sensations one can have. One of the few that makes me stop everything to just sit and listen to a whole album with my eyes closed.
