The Worst Superpower in Comics Belongs to Mr. Immortal... #marvel #marvelcomics #comics #spiderman #alien #Shorts #Spiderman #MCU #UltimateSpiderman #Alien #AlienRomulus #TheHulk #FantasticFour This Superhero might have the worst power in all of comics and his name is Mr. Immortal otherwise known as Craig Hollis, and in general i’m sure it’s hard to see how the power to literally live forever could suck as bad as it does, but in Marvel Comics we follow the journey of Mr. Immortal as at first he was born in a hospital to two loving parents, but right away his very first memories are of his Mom being taken away by a character named Deathurge, as his father is told that she died from Childbirth. As he grew up this man would repeatedly visit Craig, putting him in dangerous situations until this eventually leads to Craig’s father dying thanks to him playing with matches at Deathurge’s behest. Eventually after his girlfriend takes her own life he tries to jump off of a building however when he survives, this is the moment he realizes he even has powers at all as everyone runs away thanks to just how creepy his powers can be at times. Now as far as why this power really sucks, sure it’s great that he stopped aging after he activates his powers for the first time, but consider the fact that living through anything is his ONLY power, and it’s not like this guy is going around with superstrength or anything to actually help him survive in dangerous situations. He’s the kind of hero you can throw at a problem that doesn’t need to be solved immediately, but he’s practically USELESS without a team which he learns the first time he goes out to be a hero to stop a bank robbery, and he just gets taken out instantly. So… he’s just a dude.

The only real drawback I see to having immortality is that you would outlive all your friends and family and eventually feel lonely. You could always make new friends but once your family is gone they are gone and you have to live knowing that for the rest of your life

Also his immortality is special as if I remeber correctly in the comic he’s what’s known as a “true immortal” as in the comic we find out that nothing is actually immortal and that even the high cosmic entities will die eventually except Mr.Immortal as he’s the only entity in the whole marvel universe that is a true immortal meaning his lifespan is forever and he’s gonna be the last person to see the universe die out while cosmic entity’s like galactis, the living tribunal, and even the one above all will eventually die out leaving Mr. Immortal as the last witness of conscious existing as the universe fades with him having a front row seat

Give Mr. Immortal some elite Batman level training and martial arts, with some IQ training. He'd be Shield's or Amanda Wallers NUMBER ONE PICK for Suicide Missions and missions like a Nexus event

immortality is the lonliest power. outliving everyone and having to watch those you care for die changes you, until you eventually refuse to let anyone get close or care about anyone else again. after all, you will outlive it all. you will see the death of the universe until you too, are nothing.
