This carnivore soul bread is so good, you will actually want to eat it! I stumbled upon this recipe after trying carnivore egg bread. I wanted to try something that was more bread like. And with this recipe you will get just that! You can make grilled cheese, hamburger buns, hotdog buns, etc.
Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 2/3 cup unflavored 100% whey protein
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/3 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons beef gelatin
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cups melted butter
4 teaspoons stevia or monk fruit sweetener
4 whole eggs
12 ounces cream cheese softened
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
Instructions:
1) Pre heat oven to 325 degrees. Gather all ingredients. Butter a bread pan.
2) Add cream cheese, melted butter, heavy whipping cream, and stevia. Mix with a stand or hand mixer. Add the 4 eggs, one at a time. Add the baking powder and beef gelatin and mix.
3) Add the protein powder, baking soda, salt, and cream of tarter. Stir by hand, folding ingredients together. Do not over mix.
4) Pour into bread pan and bake in oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
5) Remove from the pan and rest on sides alternating on a cooling rack until cooled.
Notes:
You can add cinnamon, nuts, garlic, asiago cheese, onions, or even chocolate. You can also as more stevia to make a sweeter bread.
