I have experienced a similar thing on a busy highway. A pug came out of nowhere out of the forest. We couldn't stop. We hit it, broke its legs, and brought it to the nearest vet. We had people in the back of the car taking care of it this was years ago.

I’m so glad Mabel is feeling better! It honestly broke my heart first hearing about her, and even though she isn’t actually a part of my family, those updates really made it feel like she is.
