Vilnius: The New Foodie Paradise

Vilnius is my new favourite food city in the world. It's a bold statement, I know. But Vilnius food culture is good enough to get me to come back to a city we've already covered. There are a lot of misconceptions about food in Lithuania. And that's a shame because it means we've been missing out on this absolute gem of a city and the incredible food it has to offer. Vilnius is home to 4 Michelin Star restaurants but also to great street food, storied traditional food, and some of the best sweets and desserts I've ever had in my life. I'm such a huge fan of Vilnius and its food - and I know, after experiencing it yourself, you will be too.

English man who has lived in Vilnius for two years (my Mrs is from here) and wow, criminally underrated is the perfect description. Especially in England we are brainwashed to believe our country has it all, and especially Eastern Europe has nothing to offer. With this exact mindset when visiting Vilnius for the first time I couldn’t believe my eyes and felt like I’ve been lied to my whole life. One of the greatest things about the city is that it’s a hidden gem, never busy with tourists a real chill vibe. So selfishly I sometimes want to keep it hidden

It’s always hilarious to see my friends / family’s reaction when they visit with my same old English mentality. Truly one of the nicest city’s anywhere it has everything, and yes, the food quality here is top! One theory I have for this is the small population and small amount of tourists, meaning if a restaurant is average, they simply wont survive due to the small customer base. So every restaurant goes above and beyond, not many tourist traps, and the food is cooked with passion at great prices

Lastly it’s amazing to see how proud Lithuanians are, I’m excited to show my Fiancé this video as it will make her so proud to see little Vilnius on the map ! Hats off to the insanely high video production 🤝🏼

As someone who grew up in NY and now live in Europe, seeing the bagels 2 mins into the video is enough reason for a visit

What a true perfection in this clip, more over the food you describe here is so interesting attached with history and local culture. Bravo from Italy.

My father a Persian married his wife who’s Lithuanian.. (Chicago). So our family meals incorporate both worlds plus American. Kugelis and summer soup (pink borscht) are our favorite. Ironically the foods being worlds apart we share a Russian dish called salad Olivier ……found all over Eastern Europe and Middle East.

I was actually thinking of where to visit next in Europe. Attache is one of the best travel channels out there.

Colombian living in Vilnius here now for almost 2 years, and I love it. Not only the food is nice, but it is a chill city. It feels you're not in a rush and it's not packed and full of tourist.
Not to mention how handsome and beautiful everyone is. I find lithuanians really good looking, men and women. I love living here, but missing a little bit the latino cussine, ngl.
