Volk is not being cocky. He's proved himself and he deserves all the respect and accolades. It feels like his greatness is overlooked due to his humility and quiet nature. Dudes reaching GOAT status.

Volk literally put on the greatest performance Against Ortega. That defensive ability to fight through those multiple deep subs that would have finished ANYONE ELSE! Yet he not just got out, he didn't even take a breath and dominated back to the point doctors came in to almost stop the match. Ortega was carried to his stool it was crazy. Props to Ortega for showing heart and skill and grit too. For real. Respect to both guys and the respect that was shown at the end of that fight is amazing. I love seeing that sportsmanship in martial arts being at the end of the day it's 1 vs 1 and respect to both guys, win or lose, just showing up, trying your best that day, you gotta respect that in anyone, even if you dislike them. I'm glad volk has gotten to a new place where he doesn't have a unhealthy relationship in his head mentally with negativity, opinions, doubters. Just finding internal Peace is what I hope for all the best people I look up to and admire. It's interesting some people can be "the best in the world" by the press but you look at them outside the sport and they are obviously insecure, and over compensating. Cough (Floyd Mayweather) cough cough lol

I feel The reason it was hard for him to get recognition as champ was the fact that Holloway was so loved by everyone. Once he beat Ortega in the way he did, the people really got behind him
