These 10 Guns are Best for Heavy Barrels in XDefiant!

The Heavy Barrel in XDefiant may seem like an obvious attachment to use since it increases your weapon's damage but it turns out, it actually makes many of the guns in the game worse overall so today, I wanted to share a full breakdown of the weapons that benefit most from the Heavy Barrel so you make the right choices when using this attachment. A couple things to note. The SVD can get a one shot kill to the head with the heavy barrel within the maximum damage range and burn off of a headshot will always kill at any range when combining heavy barrel and cleaner passive. Also, the M44 with heavy barrel does 118 damage to the chest, making the first burn tick (which happens almost instantly) kill a Phantom player if you hit them in the chest.

8:29 although the recoil plots are the same, the fact that that recoil plot is played out through a longer period of time does make the recoil less aggressive, regardless of the recoil recovery stat not working properly

My rationale for using the heavy barrel is that if I'm taking the RoF penalty, as a result the recoil will be easier to control making me get more shots on target consistently.

Especially with the Vector. Glad to know there was something actually to using it tho and not 100% placebo.

This is a really useful video! I'll definitely be putting the heavy barrel on my vector class now.

Just want to point out that, when shooting only 1 shot, the burn deals 8 damage instead of 10, so the tac 50 just barely won't get kills in the lower torso and arms with only the burn damage and no damage barrel

1:42 One thing for people who *are* interested in Cleaners + Heavy Barrel, the Heavy Barrel plus cleaners with the SVD will allow you to still get one shot kills to the head past the roughly 45 meters mark. (Whatever the range is for it exactly, I know it has a 10% reduction for Cleaners)

The reason for this is the Heavy Barrel for the SVD boosts the damage past its range where it no longer gets a one shot kill to 99. One damage point shy to kill all but Phantom players with one shot. And since the Cleaners near instantly add 2 points of damage for its first tick out of four, its *practically* still a one shot kill to the head. Again to all but Phantoms.

Also of note similarly and really even better, using the M44 sniper with the Heavy Barrrel + Cleaners will basically have the same effect, allowing you to kill Phantoms to the chest like all other factions. So keep that in mind if you intend to use the M44, or the SVD. Both are insanely good with Cleaners + Heavy Barrel. Have fun and snipe some heads and Phantoms! :D

Something extra abt the marksman rifles, the heavy barrel allows the dragunov to one shot to the head at the closer ranges on non-phantoms, which is really nice
