Hey Vortex, just a general quick question. Let's say I do the A119. I'd like to wire it up super simple, probably just plug it into Cig lighter which turns off when the car turns off. Is it ok for these things to just be abruptly turned off like that? Secondly, if I ever got in a wreck, do I need to wait a certain amount of time before turning off the car for it to save? Thanks, just new and looking for these 2 questions and best practice. Only drive the car on weekends so don't want constant connection going.

2:52 can you run those Sandisk SD cards with the Viofo dashcams such as the a229 pro and A119 mini 2? I’ve been told to use the Max endurance or the Viofo ones

I ordered the R8 on Amazon from your link a couple weeks ago when the price was 630$. Opened it a couple days later. Manual and everything was new but the unit was not . The detector however had a factory serviced sticker on it and the end that looks forward was missing, the plastic cover. I returned it. Until I know I’m getting a new unit I’m not ordering. I may just go to Best Buy and they’re 640 something plus an 80 mile drive to Reno. I asked (Amazon) if the R8’s are new as Amazon seller ( Uniden) doesn’t specify. Bad marketing IMO

I have a question. I bought a uniden 8 off someone, it was great, but then the screen started losing color and now its complete black. I saw your video about the first units known to have the issues with the display, but since I bought it off someone idk how the warranty works. They don't have a help desk on their website and the the whole repair system seems shady to me with no tracking and costumer service. You have any suggestions on what options I have or its a lost cause?

The Akeeyo is junk. I got my hands on one and we found lots of problems with the dash camera. So many problems we did not even bother to put it on the channel. The telephoto did absolutely nothing. We reported the problems to Akeeyo and they said it was the expected performance. The Mini 2 is by far clearer than that unit at picking up license plates.
