A post study to BT's critically acclaimed 2006 IDM/Classical masterpiece This Binary Universe, "If the Stars are Eternal so are You and I" leaves off where the "first major electronic work of the new millennium" ended. [Keyboard Magazine]. More than a sequel, #ITSAESAYAI is an exploitative work and extension of the techniques that inspired This Binary Universe.

Called by Apple "A virtuoso sound artist and a creator a new form of digital art", BT's #ITSAESAYAI weaves a intricate tapestry of soaring melodic figures cloaked in bleeding edge synthesis and signal processing techniques. A rapturously beautiful, electronic symphony.

Our Dark Garden is the second short film from #ITSAESAYAI. From a concept by BT, 'A Million Stars' director Christopher Andrew executed a 'macro time-lapse journey' for
the final music video, combining time-lapse photography and slow motion HD-footage over the course of six months. From April to September 2012 over 350,000 stills were taken, day and night, in Christopher's backyard in Gloucester, MA. Produced by Stoptime341 Productions.

I remember meeting BT accidentally once outside a club in LA. He was my favorite producer/composer then and still is to this day. He was the nicest, well-spoken, intelligent person I've talked to in the industry. He is a modern day Mozart and each new album is a testament to his genius.

BT If you read this I just want you to know that you truly are one of the great composers of our time. In my eyes you could sit at a table with Debussy, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven or Bach and you wouldn't be out of place. You have been breathing new life into the realm of modern music and defining a new path and new direction for other composers to further explore. As a young composer to be I am deeply grateful for the light you have shone on my path of understanding music.

BT, you are modern day Beethoven/Mozart all wrapped up in one beautiful talent. Thumbs up if you agree.

I really like all of BT's stuff. Every album. But my favorite album he's ever released was This Binary Universe. I feel like this album "If The Stars are Eternal So are You and I" was very under the radar as well. These are performance pieces. They weren't made to dance to. They were made to be lost in. But BT is so amazing that he can pour emotion into something like this, then turn around and make you dance on another album. The man is a musical genius.

The last time I saw BT was in Tucson with Thomas Dolby... The last song Bt played was about his newborn daughter and had live visuals with so many pictures flying through my head all I could do was just cry it was so

I used to play this everyday before it was released on "if the stars are eternal so are you and I" on @BT soundcloud page, It was one of the reasons I bought the album and had it shipped in 24 hours from the state's as it wasnt available anywhere else at first. BT is my hero in edm, he inspires me with his amazing audio creations and has done for nearly 20 years now. This video is amazing and totally sets the scene for an amazing and deeply warming composition.

I'm not hugely into edm but I'll admit I'm fascinated by what BT does. Especially in these more ambient works...many of them I "understand" only when I think about something profound--someone I love, a place that is beautiful to me, the meaning of life. LOL. It's like he's constantly speaking in that language, it's infused in his music. I guess that's what makes it special.

This is how you take a simple musical pattern, repeat it for 10 minutes and make the result absolutely stunning!

The reason I respect BT is that he, unlike many electronic musicians, can indeed play an instrumenta and has a grasp of music theory that many musicians in that genre would kill for. This is the result.

It realize myself again how vulnerable this world can be, underneath that thick, harsh layer. It's beautiful dearest bt. Thank you for sharing this with all of us. Love and respect, dude!

The subtle movement of the plants matches well with the way the music shimmers and is very pleasing. The change in focus position with macro videography is also very nice!

@Akil: That's because the album "If the Stars are Eternal, So are You and I" is the follow up to "This Binary Universe".

I love how he uses the sound of fingers sliding over the frets as a musical element, he did the same thing on These Hopeful Machines
