Mineral Spirits is the best way I have ever found. I use a sponge brush to spread it on. When I remove the pattern I go over it again with mineral spirits to make sure all the glue is gone, then wipe it with a dry rag.

I have a pattern of an owl with lots of lines inside the pattern just single lines that do not join up to make big holes, my question is do I drill a very small hole and cut the lines inside the pattern or do I paint them on or burn them on. Thanks Steve

I use the heat gun method, but I think I will give the mineral spirits a go.

I use the heat gun but it leaves a great amount of glue residue. Will mineral spirit remove that once the pattern is removed or do I have to remove the pattern with mineral spirit so that the glue comes up as well.
