Zebra ZD420 Wireless Thermal Printing Setup and Installation | Windows Mac Android Chromebook

In this video we go over wifi setup and driver installation setups for the Zebra ZDS420 thermal label printer. It is a thermal printer (they dont use ink) that will print shipping labels for ebay, etsy, poshmark, shopify, pirateship etc. Any platform that formats 4x6 shipping labels. Index timestamps are at the bottom of the description. We use Zebra setup utilities for android and we use zebra setup utilities for windows (link below)

You must setup the printer on your wifi network if you want it to be wireless, you will need a windows computer or an android device for this.
The same process will work with multiple printers in the ZD series

Very good instructions video! When I tried to use it for Windows, I did not manage to change the printer port after wifi was configured. Windows could not connect to the printer. However, I added a new printer (skipped the one setup for USB) and connected via IP and then it worked.

Fantastic Video! You saved me from sending back my new ZD420 wireless printer. With the instructions that came with the product, it was confusing and not helpful at all. After reading pages and pages of their pdf instructions, I was still no better off. I am not new to computing, the way they put things together was just not helpful at all. I followed your instructions, got the green light, then my phone cant find the printer to print. also can you suggest how to troubleshoot? Hi Eric, thanks so much for the video this really helped me set up with mac os. It works fine but when we finish for the day we shut everything down, then the next day printer is not working and i have to re configure. in printer settings it shows as "in use' so deleted any print jobs pending and still dosnt work If you could help suggest what I can do it would be appreciated.

Thank you for making this video, I can’t tell you how many times it’s helped me out. These things are def not plug and play. For some reason mine defaults to back feed on. It’s printing across two labels. I can navigate my way to turn it off on my Windows based computer but can’t figure out how to get to that setting on a newly acquired Mac. I even checked the CUPS settings. Do you have any advice? Also wondering if you have a patreon page.

I want to use the zd621 in a mobile setup, how would i make this printer available to multiple ipads? the idea is for our team to register incoming guests rapidly with an iPad then print a label with the guest's name, is this possible?

Thank you so much I'm just about to purchase my first macbook and wasn't sure if it would work. I have 1 question would the printer still work on mac with my current saved barcodes on the zebra design 3 software? I am a retailer that uses barcodes and I have them all saved in the design 3 software to be printed on a 4cm x 3cm label. Cheers.

I'm wirelessly connected on my samsung s20 but the print service plugin won't actually show up when i go to print. Is there an app that will let me print through the zebra?
