Yeah, right. Have been sending the city home security footage of a house where wreckless driving happens daily (sometimes multiple times daily). Sent to alderman, police, even mayor Devine. Was told I may have to testify if they deny it. City has documented gun and drug activity at this property in their own records. Shots fired call there in May and they used my security video to view incident. Fear of retaliation is real possibility so I dropped it. Oh God, so many incidents and only response from city is no one else calling in. I have video and I thought video didn't lie. West Allis is blowing smoke and someone is going to get hurt.

You can't solve problems like this on an individual level (tickets fines etc). Reckless driving exists because we make it easy to drive and park everywhere. Add in a pandemic or some other major catastrphoic stress on society and the symptoms get worse. We need large scale investments like more transit options, narrower roads, pedestrian only buisness areas anything that can still help people get places efficiently and affordably so they don't have to rely on their cars and prevent speeding BEFORE it happens. People don't pay tickets. If you have someone who kills someone else because they're driving recklessly they're not paying tou $10K in fact they're probably not paying you anything.
