I am personally a big fan of this style of story.
Flowers & Fantasy Co should 100% sponsor your channel.
And more cat content is what the people want.

I absolutely LOVE The Name of the Wind, and I agree - I initially wasn't drawn in by that style of storytelling, in the same way that I'm not the biggest fan of epistolary writing. Another really good recommendation is Anthony Ryan's Blood Song, which is a similar mode of storytelling that is done brilliantly.

So, I thought you were heading up to the OG, 73 Anne Rice masterpiece "Interview with the Vampire". I have read so many complete book series over the years starting with Tolkein's "Hobbit" when I was eleven back in sixty-seven and then "Lord of the Rings the following year. There are books that I have walked away from, but I can usually tell if the book or series will hold my attention within the first half dozen chapters. I'm no speed reader, and I tend to immerse myself in the story if I am interested. If a Tome is engaging enough, I will reread it once or twice to try to glean what the writer was really trying to convey. I have consumed hundreds of reads and dozens of book series with a strong lean toward "Fantasy Fiction", some science fiction and a few murder mystery, even some dime store "westerns'". It is an artform that is slowly being lost to younger generations, but I am happy to see that there are still people who are intoxicated with the smell of paper and an engaging good story.

I haven't read Name of the Wind since highschool, and I haven't read Wise Mans Fear yet at I loved it when I did read it. However, I just can't get my hopes up on the completion of this story so idk if 2024 is the year I dive back into that world or but weirdly I did enjoy how NotW and EotV/D are presented over The Pariah, I enjoyed The Pariah but I found the story a bit dryer and I didn't fall in LOVE with our main characters. Where as I LOVE Gabriel in EotV/D and I LOVE Kvothe. I never really understood why The Pariah get's sold to Hobb fans per se but it is a good story just not a personal fav.
