I always adore how the captain and the whale are the only ones in the heaviest detail, putting you in his mind. The crew are just bodies. But the whale. It and he are at war, and he is vowing to hunt it down, no matter the cost, which Is seen through his ageing face. that he has devoted everything to this hunt

I love how at 3:05-3:08 the frame starts to tilt as he begins to panic, but snaps back when he steels himself. Even the wind changes directions and lightning flashes to emphasize his shift. Really nice details!
