Imagine someone who rage quits team games, because they feel outplayed. But they keep getting matched with team mates who win after they themselves have left. And they keep getting higher ELO on the team game ladder, and they keep getting matched with better and better opponents. And they get stomped and quit even more. And the rage grows.

We low/mid elo players experience this on a daily basis, I mean everytime we play more than 2 games.

The amounts of 4vs4 that I've lost or won in the first 5 in game minutes is insane.

Edit : Letting that castle go up was a silly move T90.

As someone that regularly plays these types of games at mid-elo, I would just like to say that this 'best teammate ever' experience is extremely common. Sometimes you'll get lucky and they'll be on the other team, but most of time they seem to be on yours. A lot of players apparently think that the misfortune that is currently befalling them is not the consequence of their own actions, and is instead the fault of the random guy on the other side of the map that is dominating their side. This is one of the reasons why playing with friends is such a huge advantage over queuing up with randoms lol.

Teammates who rage quit are quite common in mid-low elo sadly
Funnily enough, I've lost like 3 4v4s over the past week where we'd make one of the enemy team rage quit and still lose to the remaining 3 players

This gave me flashbacks to the time I had almost beaten one of the other players on the opposing team, when my teammate pinged because there was a couple of rams coming to his base. While I sent soldiers to support him, and continue fighting on the front, he freaked out that I was still attacking, called me useless, and quit the game.

Somehow managed to win against the 2 players because in part of the damage I had already done. Which was satisfying although I wish there were a way for that player who rage quits to get a notification saying they lost out

I've definitely been enjoying Hera's 1vN content for a bit now, and also the 2v5 collab you guys did. If you were to do more of that I'd watch it.

If both players -- in particular green -- had just showed a bit more patience and stabilised a defensive position with a strong economy, they could've eventually won with double pop space and theoretically infinite gold through trade. But that's a mistake a lot of players make at that level, it's just sending everything forward all the time without enough thought towards what the long-term looks like.
