Knock at the Cabin is a 2023 American apocalyptic psychological horror film written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, who wrote the screenplay from an initial draft by Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman. It is based on the 2018 novel The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul G. Tremblay, the first adaptation of one of his works. The film stars Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Kristen Cui, Abby Quinn and Rupert Grint.

For me it was intense and extremely gripping. Batista is a force of Nature in this movie. So calm, so gentle with constant Nuclear threat level physicality behind it.

I admit I haven't seen this yet. That said, I always felt M Night is a "campfire storyteller." You know, like that one guy who goes a bit extreme or bonkers for a shock factor but everyone gathered around is like, "really? 😶😶" lol. That doesnt mean I always find that a bad thing, that's just his art form lol. Sometimes it's a hit, other times not. I'm entertained 75% of the time so I never cared. From the looks of it, this movie doesn't exactly stray. Meh. I'll still see it eventually!

I respect the heck out of M Night. He makes economical movies that are never boring(hope you’re wrong about this one), even when they’re bad, on his terms, and they always make a profit. I don’t mind mocking his tendencies, but I always root for him

I think the movie is amazing if you're looking for the passion in the characters and story aswell questioning your own morals and intertwining yourself into it. I loved experiencing it!!

When I saw you said it was frustratingly ok, I was like, "Wait... Because when I saw the trailer I thought it was going to be the stupidest movie from M Night like Happening, Old or Lady In The Water levels because I was getting excited for you to laugh at these moments. But wow, I never thought you would say that.

This one looks genuinely solid. I was really excited when I saw the trailer, and then I saw Shyamalan's name and my excitement depleted a bit, but it was still a cool trailer.
