Kentucky woman killed, two injured by falling Denny's sign

Elizabethtown police say the large restaurant sign fell from a pole during high winds, crushing a car carrying three people. WAVE's David Ochoa reports.

I can't imagine how traumatic this must be for her family. I imagine taking your mother out to Denny's to spend some time with her only to have her taken away from you forever in such a senseless way. This is terrible. We need to hold corporations accountable when they cut corners and don't properly maintain things like this.

The sad thing is, the people in the car hadn't decided where to go for lunch. They were just driving through the parking lot, looking at the different restaurants, when one of them said, "I'm sure something around here will hit us".
