Jym will talk about unlocking and realising our potential and will explain why he believes the secret to this can be reduced down to attitude and approach – toward challenge, toward risk and toward truth. Using a unique blend of philosophy and psychology, he will discuss the reasons why he believes many of us never reach our potential and show us ways to move into the future with renewed purpose. Jym works with a range of businesses, professional sports teams and athletes using a unique blend of philosophy and psychology to improve processes, develop teams and individuals and increase performance.

Jym is the author of two books as well as scientific journal articles relating to psychology and philosophy.

Jym Brown! What a delight it is to see a person who has genuinely created a path for myself through his teachings & education at Peterborough College & University Centre Peterborough.

I'm now embracing Teaching because of this individual (alongside others) but the impact this man had was huge!

Will always respect this man, glad to see him doing so well in his own craft!

1. Challenge:

- Have a structured and deliberate purpose for your practice. Select the right level of challenge for your practice, have direct and precise feedback, and then systematically work on your imperfection (gaps in knowledge/weaknesses) to improve.

- Select the right difficulty in your challenge to do battle, so you remain motivated (about 4% more difficult than you are used to), as opposed o the challenge being too difficult to where it is a threat, which is fear-inducing or when it is too easy/boring - See chaos as a challenge, rather than a threat.

2. Risk

- Are physical, emotional or financial losses. Our attitude to risk is determined by our personality. They're perceived, subjective and malleable.

- What future dream do I nullify, by not taking this chance/risk?
- Work backwards from what your biggest dreams are, and then take appropriate action on those selected risks that moves you forward on your biggest goals/dreams.
- Change your threshold on your risk Vs Reward ratio.

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk to took to blossom" - Elizabeth Appell

"Cowards die many times before their deaths; The valiant never taste of death but once" - William Shakespeare

- A piece of you dies, every time you don't take any chances/Risks!

Ask yourself:

couldn't

Summary:

- You need to embrace chaos and see it as a helpful challenge, rather than a threat!
- Break these challenges up into smaller pieces. And select just the right amount of difficulty to be out of your comfort zone by about 4% and stimulated.
- Take risks that move you forward to your big dream goals! And change your approach to your threshold of risk vs reward!
- Become a lover of truth! To really difficult big questions about your life?
- WHATEVER YOU DO, DO IT WITH A SENSE OF PURPOSE AND VIGOR THAT LEAVES YOU WITH NO REGRETS.
