I am LOVING this new edition of what has long been one of my favourite Erasure albums! And to find the best track of them all has had a shiny new 2020 version is quite wonderful. I don't mind admitting I was more than anxious with anyone 'messing' with the sublime genius that is 'Home' (surely one of the best closing tracks on an album by anyone, ever!) but this Minute Taker Remix is utterly divine! It still moves along at that elegantly glacial pace but here all the individual components of the song are given their time to shine to sumptious and dramatic effect - all with the ebb and flow of an unfettered piano line meandering in and out of that gorgeous melody. It's less remix, more reconstruction - a carefully considered and delicately crafted piece of art and I love it! It's an unexpected jewel in the crown of an album that is every bit as superb as it was on those cold autumn nights of '91. The styling of it, the gorgeous booklet - and even a surprise lil bonus of four lovely postcards! Fantastic stuff! 👏👯‍♂️💅

I once learnt to play drums and discovered music as loud and full of guitars and so on. Then, back in 1991, the album "Chorus" came across. The album was a gamechanger for me, and I got together with another guy to make electronic music. And suddenly, we were absolutely inspired by "Chorus".
Honestly, when I first heard the closing song "Home", it shivered down my spine. What an emotional song! I'm not sure, but I believe I never heard such a high quality song from Erasure again.
Now, we have this remix. I sometimes have problems with remixes. But, hey, this is high level. The remixers did a wonderful job to catch the emotions and the sphere of the song. Like somebody else wrote: It was a good decision to take a piano. Bravo, Ben McGarvey!

Beautiful version cleaned of the sounds of the late 80s and refreshed with more current sounds. And Minute Taker's vocal harmonies leave a nice flavor of those years, very pleasant. Congratulations to Erasure for composing a beautiful song back then and congratulations to Minute Taker for bringing it to life again. Enjoy it!
