The stats are misleading due to the economic bracket of those who afford mortgages in their 20's. Plus, with housing being the new easy money machine for the wealthy, it makes sense to buy multiple houses. A rich 25yr old can purchase several houses, rent them out for profit and then manipulate the statistics to make it seem like we are buying more houses than ever. Like how the US is seeing more wealth than ever, dispute the distribution of said $ being limited to the top percent.
