Had the pleasure, once more, to see him in close performing at Greece, this time with Aristocrats. He is second to none, exhibiting a monk's dedication towards his art. There are many young great players out there but only a very few of them are known for being humble as well. I guess Guthrie knows he can express himself in eloquent english, however he can say it best by letting his musicianship do the talking. One of the greatest of our times

Guthrie is just amazing. The guy can melt faces while never leaving the melody alone. and he's so incredibly humble. i'm not sure if he's a student of the guitar or if the guitar is a student of Guthrie. i mean, guitars dream of getting him for Christmas.. lol

There is very little guitarists who have the fluidity to solo like this. I'm talking in the technical aspect. To be able to spit out all of these different styles of licks in such a short amount of time and doing it so effortlessly.

Parts are so Larry Carlton, then parts are Allan Holdsworth, then parts are just straight Guthrie. Easily one a top 5 improviser in the guitar world.
