This is the background music from the Windows XP flash animated tour that I extracted myself a LONG time ago. This is also the original video, unlike others who are reuploading the same tour music.

**New download links of the ONLY 3 original music pieces of the tour from Bill Brown's website!**

I remember clicking on Windows XP Tour by mistake in 2010. Then I experienced a wonderful trip through the operating system, and it helped me discover its secrets. It also made me curious of what other Windows OS’s there are, so I started studying about them and making some research. Later, I became a massive IT fan, and since that moment I have wanted to become a programmer! All this, thanks to the fact that I clicked by mistake on a Tour. I’ll never forget that moment 😊

Microsoft should make a remastered version of XP. All modern features that are required for today, but with the same games, tour, design, sounds, and installation.

I remember I was blown away when I first saw the Windows XP desktop. After seeing the gray Windows colour theme for so many years, suddenly ir was blue, green, colourful! Just whoah. Like something from distant future.

4:07 I love how they incorporated the error chime in this piece! It seems much more immersive.

Jesus, Windows XP had the best OOBE of any operating system, even today. When you set up something like Windows 7 or 10, it;s the basic "type in your name and password" and they give you a half-assed tutorial of how to use your new computer. Something along the lines of "move your mouse to the corner". Windows XP gave you a well organized tour of the O.S., complete with pictures and music. Windows 10 doesn't even have a startup sound.

But I think we can all agree that Windows XP had the scariest sound effects of any O.S.

I remember this music when I used to have my Windows XP PC when I was younger.

The intro music just signifies the technical revolution we were going to experience from that point on. As if a colorblind person sees color for the first time and it's Windows XP with it's bright blue colors. What a time.

It's fantastic how all sound effects from WinXP are merged together in the song. Booting up the system for the first time and going for the tour kinda creates that bond with it... and when you listen now, you feel like you're saying _goodbye_ to an old friend while staring at the sky on a green hill, remembering all the good moments, striking you hard with nostalgia.

oh... i miss you 2000's... much simpler and happier times.

I remember finding a glitch that let you "erase the window" in Microsoft paint. I was so exited when I found it and all I did for ages was play around with it, drawing little theatres and putting windows media player behind it. The way you did it was take a screenshot of a video playing in media player, and pasting it directly into paint. Then it would show up as a purple looking colour. If you used the colour picker on it and drew, it would essentially allow you to draw a sort of transparency, that would act as a hole through to whatever was behind.

I would give any and everything to go back to the moment I first heard this. I treasure those memories so much. The best years of my life. I literally tear up listening to this.

Closing my eyes, I can immediately go to a time of bliss and pure childhood enjoyment with my old PCs. It may be considered dead by Microsoft, but I will never forget the first OS I used :D
