Don't forget to write "host_writeconfig" at the end so that it refreshes after every time cs2 loads.

Does anyone know how to get at text document to be a cfg file? Everytime i create a text document & rename it to 'autoexec.cfg', including the .txt, it still stays as a text document??

You don't have to add it to the launch options, that makes the cfg run twice since it will automatically run by being in the correct folder.

can i edit my cfg by setting up the settings i like from inside the game and saving them to the cfg file or do i have to edit the file itself

I can't save the autoexec file after imputting the execs I want. It keeps telling me I don't have permission and need administrative power to do it.

Good guide, but you could have shown how to add multiple lines of commands for people trying to do things like set up practice gamemodes or switching things like settings or crosshairs.

In my version the cl_interp settings etc. seem not to be supported based on the console feedback. How do I get the version that supports it?

nothing works for me in cs2 it dosent autoexec nor can i exec it manually in the game.

where s the config.cfg located or do I have to put binds into the autoexec.cfg too? so far nothing I've tried worked to get my scripts working. if put in 1 file it would look like this:
