Wouldn’t those compression numbers indicate an issue? I always heard it’s not only that the numbers are high enough but they all have to be within a specific amount of each other

Good video, can this test also diagnose a knock? Can cranking it cause us to hear knocks if there are any, also if it is not the correct way, how can I diagnose knocking for a engine outside of the car?

Hey man dumb question here. I’m just getting into figuring out a motor. I picked up a 5.3 from a friend. It was running when he pulled it. When I got it home I could turn the crank bolt about a quarter turn but then it wouldn’t budge. This is with everything still connected(belt, accessories, alternator, spark plugs flywheel, torque converter, ect…) just the engine on a pellet. I just want to see if it in fact still a good motor?

My question is that normal? Do I need to pull all the accessories and plug to get it to turn?

Sorry I know it’s a silly question but I’m a novice
