Today Christina is checking out two headsets from AOC - the GH200 and GH300. Both are pretty similar overall, but the GH200 connects via a 3.5mm jack while the GH300 is USB-only. She takes you over everything you need to know before buying.

Hey Christina 🥰👋. Glad to see you back on Kitguru 🥳👍I think the current GPU issue is seeing peripheral manufacturers coming out with a bigger variety of items as they’re trying to capitalise on taking some of the spare $$$ not being spent on gpus by consumers. We’re also seeing different budget levels of peripherals being filled by manufacturers which is great to see as it’s usually the high end getting the latest tech, features etc and mid and lower end missing out. The GH300 seems to have a more compressed mic sound 🤔 and as you mentioned, it sounds like your talking through a pillow. Virtual 7.1 is just gimmicky imo 😆😝. Cool nails 💅 btw.

I really dislike the USB headphones, especially when you compare them to the quality of sound coming from a soundcard. You should test them (GH200) with a proper dac soundcard like - creative AE5 or Z series, which can in theory drive headphones up to 600 Ohms. The volume immediately goes up when selecting the correct option in the creative software - correct ohms for your headphones. No idea how many ohms these have, but even the basic setting would be good. I suspect that the soundcard in the test just did not have enough power or at least you should use a DAC. Other than that, I would probably try out the GH200, considering the comfort, the looks and the price, they seem like a nice product.

They rebrand headsets, no? Much like Corsair, HyperX, etc.

It's kinda nice that you have done it, but WHY you didn't tell anything, that GH300 got 7.1 sound which is kinda great for playing games. Also, in games, 7.1 is always better than some basic sound.
