The EEAAO online bullying will be nothing compared to how the Swifties will react to anyone that does not give her feature debut a 10/10. Negatives reviews will not be acceptable lol.

The amount of film bros telling me I didn't understand the film (EEAAO) because I didn't love it... Maybe YOU didn't understand it...

Congrats on book announcement, will definitely pick up. It bums me out a little when friends or critics I respect like you guys don't like a movie I like but I quickly move on and it doesn't dim my enjoyment at all. One of the many reasons I'm not a part of film twitter or twitter at all.

I wasn't aware of that EEAAO bullying of critics for not including it. That's a shame to hear but good to know even the co-director told them to knock it off.
I suspect if EEAAO doesn't get a Best Picture nomination, they'll continue the bullying, despite the fact they always say the Oscars are rigged or worthless.

Alonso had me rolling when he said lava pit 😂
It’s so true about wanting that validation for the movies picked on whoever’s list.
You should just enjoy reading what other films people liked this year.

I really wish Americans were taught as kids that if they don't like something that someone else made, rather than complaining about it, they can make their own thing that they do like.

I remember some random dude attacking me online for saying Everything Everywhere was 20 minutes too long. Nobody enjoys things anymore, it's all life or death.

Will y'all be reviewing Emancipation? Very curious to know your thoughts on that one.

loved the frank discussion about movie criticism! I've watched almost all your videos, not because I think I'll agree with your opinions, but for the love of cinema. It's fantastic when one or both of you love a movie I love, but don't like you any less when our thoughts disagree 😃

Of all the movies to pull the plug on it would be The Flash with all of its many problems mostly with its male star. But instead it was Batgirl with no problems and a female star.

I wish the word fan would connect to something fantastic not fanatic. And that is why I am not on Twitter. I finally saw "Three Thousand Years of Longing". I loved it so much I added its main theme (Cautionary Tale) to my playlist. When Christy and Kate Walsh reviewed it, I think that Christy's rating was a "disappointed" 5.5? I want to state here that I still respect both critics (and of course Alonso!) and look forward to their reviews. I realize that I am preaching to the choir but everyone needs to chill out and rage against things that threaten one's life. However, the idea of fans of George Miller's "Mad Max series" walking into Three Thousand... without knowing its themes does make me giggle admittedly somewhat like a troll.😉

I have friends who are pretty miffed that The Northman didn't make the list. As an aside, when is Christy going to get some Christmas decorations in the background? 😉

I think the difference is that the people doing all of this stupid stuff are just stans of EEAAO and not actually movie fans. An actual movie fan would take it as an opportunity to discuss film. Like you said, share your own list, discuss why you didn't like a particular film, or take is an opportunity to watch something you haven't seen.

At my house the annual go to Christmas movie is Die Hard. What can I say it’s just a fun movie. Oddly I watched The Long Kiss Goodnight last night and had forgotten how Christmas themed the movie really was. Forgive me for rambling, it seems that even the Hallmark’s Christmas movies are improving in quality and are getting bettered, but then again maybe they have just worn me down.
