I grate the carrots and cook it in pot instead of cooker on low flame for long time cooking it juz becomes awesome 🤤🤤🤤

We usually grate carrots n pressure cook it with just water n then add other ingredients. But chopping n cooking it n then mashing it is really quite easier way. Got to learn something new today.

My mummy grate carrots and let them cook in kadai with lot of milk in low flame its tastes absolute amazing
It takes lot of time and hardwork in grating but taste worth it all ❤ that taste we cannot get in cooker lol

I love Gajar ka Halwa but only of my mother's hand ❤. She cook's awesome👌. Your Halwa also looking good

Oh that looks delicious. It seems the cooking process of it varies home to home. My mom cooks in a different way than this, first she cleans and peels the skins of carrot then shreds it with a hand shredder,
Then heats the milk and brings it to a boil, then puts "cardamom", " bay leaves " and " cloves", boils for 2 minutes then add the shredded/grated carrots and lets it cook for 5 minutes
Then adds jaggery, soaked cashews and raisins.
Again she lets it cook for nearly 15-20 minutes, whils making sure to stir it many times. Love it like that, it's my fav dish even more than "payesh".
