Poor Chandler, even though Ross and Rachel treating the gang like divorcing parents forcing their children to choose between them was mostly played for laughs, it's still heartbreaking to see Chandler's reactions, especially since he is a child of divorce.

Chandler's dance is funny when i watched it years ago. I feel sad after i know his childhood in the reality.

they were on a break, as we said it times, and it's not up for a dispute, it's a fact. Rachel said 'we are on the break' first, and she broke up with Ross. Ross is telling Chandler and Joey at the bar, in that episode before he hooked up with Chloe, that Rachel broke up with him, and he is sure of it. And Rachel later simply said it too. The next morning, she said to Monica that she broke up with Ross, then Rachel went to Ross' apartment and asked him if she could be his girlfriend again - so she did break up with him, period. Ross knew she did, and he was drunk, so he never wanted to really sleep with Chloe. Mistake but not cheating, and drunken not conscious mistake. That's why Rachel forgave Ross at the end.

Ross and Rachel belonged to each other, period. They were just both hot-headed and emotional, and because their love was very passionate, the emotions were often extreme, so their fights were actually also manifestations of their love. They just needed to grow up, and they did through the years, and came back to each other because they loved each other more than anything and everything! And David and Jen's chemistry was out of this world! 🥰😍

Personally, I think the writers made a mistake here. They were on a break, Rachel suggested it herself, but the real argument here is what that "break" meant for each of them. For Ross, it meant a break up, that's why for him it wasn't cheating. For Rachel, it meant a 'pause' on their relationship, not the end, so for her it was cheating. But 'WE WERE/WEREN'T ON A BREAK' is more catchy, so the writers went with that.
