I have wrapped up the eave logs on my off grid log cabin build. Now it’s just the top plate left. Next step is building the gables, and roofing. We will be moving into this cabin in the fall. #diy #homestead #outdoors

UNBELIEVABLY GORGEOUS. I love your style! Specially how you use building materials from the land in the area. Kyle, you are a machine.

Kyle, I like the way your channel is compiled. You show your work and tell what you're planning. Some other channels are almost all talk, then they start telling how they are going to have a surprise coming up . Well they can keep there surprise I quit there channel. Thanks for taking the time to make the videos.

When I was 12 years old in 1966 I spent a summer in Northern MN at my aunt and uncle's log cabin and I remember wondering how they built it. The cabin was built in 1908 and was a large cabin. Watching you build cabins has answered a lot of things I wondered about at a very young age when I would look at the construction of the cabin. Thanks so much, I love your videos!!!

This kid is an asset to the internet. A REAL young man. In a sea of wimps, this is how it is done. Learns what he needs to and adjusts as needed. Cheers man. I’m sharing this channel with friends.

There is nothing like hard work! Pretty incredible to think you built this alone. Cutting, pealing and spiking all those logs. That takes serious patience - you are a good man! Well done.

One day, many years from now, a young man is gonna be hanging out at this Cabin. Someone will ask him who built it. He will reply, My Grandfather built it, by hand.
We need more young men like Kyle n this World, it would be a much better World.

I’ve said it before, but I read and reread idk how many times the Little House on the Prairie books as a kid and into adulthood and I just love this channel. I learned so much in the reading and Kyle brings it to life and I learn even more.
I’m not building my own house, but this channel gives me insight into how Grandpa built the house I live in and I learn how to keep it sound.

i love to see people like me build stuff from scratch, however when you get to my age your body says enough, and the back and arm pain kicks in, and the ten plus pain killers a day, there should be a public health warning on the fun jobs we undertake in our life, live long and prosper Kyle you deserve it

With basically just a chainsaw, a maul, a draw knife and a stepladder that is some serious achievement!

At the end of the build and for the rest of your life you'll look at an awesome cabin and say "I built that" with well deserved pride!
Well done!
