I made one of your other shell dresses for my daughter and she fits into 2t or 3t. I used a 5mm hook to get it to the size she needed. I knew that would work because I've made a lot of baby clothes over the years by watching the channel crochet for baby on YouTube. So if anyone wants to make one for a 2 or 3 year old 5 or 5.50 mm hook would work. With a 4 weight yarn. I used a 4 weight cotton yarn

Thank you! I crocheted the yolk as is, then added one row of Sc around bottom instead of shell skirt. I sewed a cotton floral fabric shirt by hand onto the top. Grand daughter loves it!

I'm going to make this for my 1 year old granddaughter so what I'm going to do is use 3 weight yarn with an F hook and check how it fits as I go along. I'll let you know how it goes. I love this, Crystal! Thank you so much! I made it for my granddaughter for Easter. I used 5mm hook and 3weight cotton blend yarn. Turned out to be a perfect 3T, however making more of the triple v stitch rows to obtain the length I needed.

Hands down the best, easiest tutorial of easy dress. I used #3 weight cotton with a 4.5 hook. Prob size of 6-9 months with a nice drape. Thank you so much for sharing.
