AQUEON Filter/Cartridge LED and battery placement

Hello all! Sorry I had trouble pronouncing the brand name Aqueon. But this is one of the things that the manual should state specifically when setting up the batteries properly.

Is it time for a filter change? What is this led light really for? And how should I properly place the batteries? Watch the video.

Fyi. My batteries show + on the flat side. I put mine in mine like you with the flat side on the right and it worked.

My filter is brand new but the light is still flashing

I think the light is more for new fish owners. Experienced fish owners don't need a light to tell them when its time to change their filter, because they know when to change it out. I clean my filter out once every week and change the filter itself once every month. I'll probably never see my light turn on.
