Wasn't a huge Cousins fan his first few years there but to his credit he played well particularly in the 4th Qtr last year. Zimmers D and game management cost them like 5 games.

Time to stop lauding bad coaches like Zimmer, who got worse and worse every year. Old school a-hole, who the game passed by. A good coordinator is not necessarily a good head coach.

Cousins played REALLY WELL late in games last year. The defense just kept letting other team come back. I literally watched cousins score on back to back to back drives late to only have defense give up the same. I saw the Vikings kicker miss several FG's to lose games. Defnese was the issue last year outside of two games where offense wasnt great

Zimmer got his chance way too late. If he became a HC in the nineties, he’d have a bit more success. Vikes should have got him after Denny Green.

Sometimes we don’t appreciate Kirk enough for what he’s done as a Viking while he was dealing with Zimmer’s bs and yet he still decides to sign extensions one after another through all that. Respect ✊.

Zim didn’t like Kirk bc Kirk cost too much so he couldn’t spent the entire salary cap on defense.
I don’t like Kirk’s salary for who he is, but I wanna see what an offensive coach and scheme tailored to him looks like.

Zimmer was a good coach. But a bad leader. And unfortunately for him(and Vikings fans over the past 8 years) leadership is big when coaching.
