Welcome to Inwood Art Works On Air! Where we meet the musicians, filmmakers, writers, theater makers, and artists of all stripes that make their home in what we call affectionately "Upstate Manhattan." The On Air podcast showcases film, stage, music, visual artists and writers from Inwood NYC and neighboring communities. In “Artist Spotlight” segments we tell the stories of Inwood artists and creators recorded at beloved local haunts in the community. Hosted by Aaron Simms. Recorded at Hauman Health Club.
Zafiria Dimitropoulou Del Angel is a GreekMexican performer and Director. She has studied Political Science and Public Administration at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Acting at the Greek Art Theatre Karolos Koun, and is currently the Artistic Director of People's Theatre Project. Rooted in Upper Manhattan, the People's Theatre Project is a social justice arts organization that creates ensemble-based theatre with and for immigrant communities to develop the next generation of diverse, socially-engaged artists and leaders.
