I've driven a 2.4 gd6 single cab, and that car can go!!! I'd be amazed to experience the 2.8gd6

Great video mate. The exterior is not as beautiful like the previous model. But the interior is fire 🔥. I recently drove the 2.4 gd-6 manual. It's very smooth and powerful.

Last week I travelled with a friend from Pietermaritzburg to Kranskop on a 2.8 manual 6 speed, diesel... that thing moves on the road! Polo drivers b careful...we tested it how fast it can drive..., all I can say that thing topped 200km/h when u press power mode!

Few months ago I test drove a GWM P Series bakkie...., I had given it a nod, but after experiencing the Hilux 2.8..., nop, I wouldn't buy a GWM P series or a Ranger 2.2.

The bakkie was comfortable on tar road, but as we hit gravel road, yeah, that's where u git those gandaganda vibes lol...but wasn't too bad. It's a bakkie after all, so it was expected. So if I were to buy..., I'll go for a 2.8 Hilux or a Ranger Wildtrak.

2.4 is my cup of tea because of transmission

There is a 2.8ltr manual version, though it is not so easy to come across one

Hi Muzi, i like your reviews but this one needs to be re done, cause you did not bring out the good and bad of the car. I expected more. You spoiled us by making sure when you review a car you also compare it against it's rivals i think the hilux needs more justice i know your good on this game we need this one re done please....

I like the 2.4 because I believe is low in fuel consumption and I don't think I need a bakkie with more power. For me a bakkie is just enough. Yey but these bakkie are expensive for pps like me. they are clearly a definition of wealth status.

Great video. I absolutely love the Toyota Hilux GD-6 but the 2.8L is abit pricey. I would go for the the 2.4L (4x4 or nothing) then maybe purchase and install Toyota approved “Legend” exterior parts to make it look much better.

Had to get the 2.8 due to actuality using the bakkie in the mines

Trust me this machine has variants that can go as fast as 220km/hr and the issue of 2.4 litre variants with black door handles is not really accurate.

How about the interiors of each model, highlighting standard features? This is not informative enough.
