Also, I get my editing done through a Houston based company called "Writers Of The West" they're pretty affordable and convenient so I'm not sure if I need these tools if there's a fee to pay every month.

We just got to editing after 3rd rewrite so this is very useful information. I only have the free grammarly. An author friend of mine said she also puts it google docs editor and it catches more but then you have to put it back in word.

Lasmina, a year ago I opted for the paid version of ProWriting Aid. Do you experience software glitches too? I experienced serious and infuriating glitches. For example: You've written a 10 page chapter and want to review using the thesaurus. If you highlight one word, it won't work. The program tells you the document is too large. It loads the whole document instead of one word to use the thesaurus. Second problem, with PWA on, if I type in my document, I often get duplicate letters. When typing a word like absolute. I get It's drives me crazy. The worst glitch I experienced was my entire document being erased letter by letter and no way to stop it. It literally erased an entire chapter. I don't know if anyone else has come across these issues and many more. Please shout out if you have.

Another awesome video. And got to say grammarly is really useful for free if you know how to work around the premium version.

I use Grammarly to self edit chapters of my story. It works great to catch common grammar mistakes in red; you can fix for free. Which can be done in 10 or less mins.

Once you fix those it gives you more mistakes in yellow for premium
But without paying for it it still highlights those mistakes yellow. Still with out paying: You can go though each one easily on grammarly. Reading them over and rewriting steneces, and it really helps come up with new ideas to add. I don't know why it works but it does.

My first chapter with 3500 word count; had 40 yellow mistakes and took 2 hours to fix rewording sentences to sound better, till the yellow error goes away. Also added 400 to the word count. And chapter story improved alot.

Once you have no errors appear you export it back to your writing software choice.
Added bonus all projects are saved online on grammarly app servers. So if you lose your hard drive copy get on grammarly and your last edited version will be there. Even Logged in from any device you go to grammarly.
