The 19th Century was a dynamic, yet turbulent time when huge areas of the Ottoman Empire, the Indian sub-continent, China, Indochina, and the East Indies were fought over by competing empires. These seven great empires vie for control as alliances are formed and trust is betrayed. Players negotiate and outwit one another in a delicate balance of cooperation and competition to gain dominance of the region. Diplomacy Era of Empire challenges players to rely on their own cunning and cleverness, not dice, to determine the outcome of this game of conspiracies and conquest.

Diplomacy Era of Empire is a complete stand-alone game for new or experienced Diplomacy players.

I’m really looking forward to playing this. I pre-ordered the first day it became available for purchase!

I have played Colonial Diplomacy a few times and I really appreciate the intentional work that has gone into correcting some of the issues I had with that variant.

Great coverage as always LT!

Tom Haver is an amazing ambassador for the game Diplomacy. I always make sure to play in one of his games whenever he's running it at a con I'm attending

Thanks for posting this preview. I've always wanted to try Diplomacy, but I just don't think it's a game for me.

The thing about the original Diplomacy is that it captured the gridlock of WWI, with armies facing off along huge fronts and getting into unbreakable stalemates. I don't think it quite works when ported over to other times and places, like colonial Asia.
