At our church this morning the choir were performing a setting of the Mass by Rheinberger, a composer I had previously hardly heard of, so I thought I would discover some more about him and his music. He was a Liechtensteiner, possibly the only composer that tiny country has produced. He seems to be most noted for his sacred choral music and his works for organ. This setting of the Mass is a lovely one.
