I dated trans person, and honestly mean this person love each other very much. This person is my favorite person in the entire world.

This is actually kinda hard for me to watch. I am a trans teen, and how the world is moving currently then I might not even make it so adulthood to actually get testosterone and top surgery and legally change my name. Puberty blockers are already illegal in Utah, so currently the only thing that is helping me with dysphoria is binding my chest, and my real binder hasn't even been shipped yet. This is terrifying to me, that I might have to live with this dysphoria my whole life, or be killed before I can even do anything about it.

This is a big misunderstanding. The ban was to prevent people of certain age from getting procedures and medication to become transgender. What a lot of people think this means is that transgender youth wouldn't be receiving medical treatment. It's a big difference between the two. It bans trans medical treatment for youth, it doesn't ban medical treatment for trans youth.

the thing thats absolutly heart wrenching about this is the fact that this is happening in other states too. it happened in utah on january 29 2023, and if im right utah was th efirst one to pass this legislation. and it took until a month ago for kids even with diagnosed gender dysphoria to be treated. the legislation basically says that all trans youth can not medically transition until they are 18, the only exception to this rule is kids who were diagnosed with gender dysphoria before Jan 1 2023. and one other added part was that in order for a therapist to sign it they had to be a gender specialist and get so many more certifications. it took until last month for the first person to get all of these certifications, meaning for almost all of 2023 not a signal trans youth in utah was able to start their transition medically. im one of these kids. i ended up in the perfect situation. i was diagnosed with dysphoria before the first and my therapist was the first one to be able to sign off on all the forms. but everyday i think about my friends that weren't as lucky as me and will have to wait until they are 18. i really am so thankful to see someone talking abt thsi. there was/is so little media coverage about whats happening in utah so seeing someone come out and talk about it is so helpful. its a situation thats reallyh hard to talk about nut the more people know about it the more state gets push back for their horrible laws. thank you so much for speaking about these situations. your videos are truly amazing :)
