The fact that the first few seconds of the video were quiet, making people turn up the volume, only to be met with the loudest sound known to man, is genius.

Fun Fact: The scream (whistle) used for the Air Island Epic Wubbox is from Canadian National #3254. Canadian National #3254 had a step top 5 chime steam whistle. However, the whistle was worn out and out of tune. That is why it sounded like that. Step top means that the steam whistle has steps on the top of the whistle. That whistle was used in the 80’s. When they recorded the steam whistle from #3254, it was recorded at Steamtown National Historic Site in Pennsylvania and the railroad still sits there. And the whistle was used as a stock sound effect. The whistle is described as “Sound Ideas, TRAIN, STEAM- WHISTLE, MANY BLASTS, CLOSE UP”. That sound effect was used as a sound ideas sound effect and it is the most overused train whistle in media. For example, it was used for the Dinosaur Train from the kids show Dinosaur Train and used also as the Rainbow Sun’s whistle from Thomas and the Magic Railroad. The first usage of the whistle was used in the TV special Technological Threat from 1988. And the whistle was made on October 4, 1987. This explains where the whistle came from.
